I like Satie and was looking forward to this book. Kraus employs a notational system both non-standard and overwhelming on the eyes. Each treble note or chord is notated by no less than four lines of notation--ditto the bass notes. The pages overflow with notation! I found this...

so distracting especially with dual usage of Roman numerals (the "box"--position I, II, II etc. and the strings I-VI) I bought some white out and a pencil. It would perhaps have been better had standard notation been used. In that way the publisher may have been more concerned with the actual printing and editing of the music vs. the notation. Still it is Satie and my dog loves it--even if I found the initial presentation tedious. I'm still looking for a non-tab standard notation version; until I find it I will white-out, notate, edit and play Mr. Kraus' offering.

Although these pieces are extremely expressive on piano, they work well on classical guitar. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to add some fairly easy to play yet pleasing pieces to their reportoire.
