Composed by Zach Wells. Arranged by Zach Wells. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 4 pages. Zach Wells #3093995. Published by Zach Wells (A0.1027931)."This piece is a non-traditional interpretation of the liturgical 'Sanctus' text. I chose to focus on the wonder and mystery presented by the text, rather than the triumphant and mightiness of God that is sometimes interpreted. I find that, sometimes, God presents God's self through complex and complicated beauty. When writing this piece, I found a particular cluster of tones that I felt represented a peculiar feeling of awe, then recreated, reshaped, and re-voiced it throughout the piece. Though harmonies are dense, the melodies seem to float effortlessly and, individually, each voice part is relatively simple to execute." - Zach Wells
Zach Wells lives in Dallas, Texas, where he is an Associate Director of Music at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. There, he directs the youth choir and youth band, and leads a new, Sunday night alternative worship service.
