This is a delightful set of three contrasting movements, which deserves a continued audience. (It was on the 2008/10 NFMC list, and deserved to be there.) The music is appealing enough and accessible enough that late-beginner students will happily acquire the appropriate reading and technical skills to play...

    all movements effectively.

  • March 05, 2007 Nice showcase piece for a beginner

This is a most enjoyable piece with quite different moods for each movement. The first, mostly HS, movement is played with pedal throughout and is dreamy and atmospheric. The second is very serene and provides some practice at playing different length notes with each hand. The third movement is more...

lively. Altogether, this is a nice piece for a beginner who enjoys the challenge of learning a longer piece with different moods and tempos for each movment.

My student has really been enjoying this piece. She learned the whole thing the first week!
