Published by MusicPAD Music Publications (A0.872888).This is a hauntingly gorgeous piece by a wonderful composer whose works seem sadly underestimated and surely under-played. This setting is arranged for clarinet choir with the following instrumentation: Eb soprano clarinet, four Bb soprano clarinets (one to each part), Eb alto clarinet, Bb bass clarinet and Eb contra-alto clarinet. An optional Bb contrabass clarinet part is included. The piece is set in the key of concert Gb, yet it is arranged to be within the reach of most high school clarinet choirs (and should be easily performed by college level groups). It is also a terrific learning tool for hand-management (left-right combinations, etc.). This piece has worked very well for performance in contests.
