Composed by Brumel. Miscellaneous Music. Early Music Library. Choral or Vocal Music. 4 Scores. Published by Magnamusic Distributors Inc (MM.EML0356).

Antoine Brumel (c. 1460 - 1515) was a French composer. He was one of the first renowned French members of the Franco-Flemish school of the Renaissance, and, after Josquin Desprez, was one of the most influential composers of his generation. This Marian antiphon is printed after Petruccis Motetti A, numero trentatre, published in Venice in 1502. The plainsong melody is treated mostly in the tenor, but as there is a considerable amount of imitation in the work - especially between tenor and altus - it appears at times in all four parts.
