As a conductor of high-end non-professional wind bands I've bought and tried this arrangement of the ballet music from "Prince Igor". I find that it is well-sounding, reasonable in instrumentation and brings to life some of the memorable tunes. On the down side, the cuts are...

rather brutal, leaving the listener hungry for more of each melody. The graphic impression of the music sheets is OK, no awkward page turns and doubts on what is meant by the arranger here or there. Everybody knows this music, even if they have never heard the title, - it will be popular in light classical concerts. We combined it with the Sword Dance from Gayaneh (Katchaturian) and the Miller's Dance from the Three-cornered Hat (de Falla), making a nice ballet inspired section in the concert.
