Some of Alfred's best writers have combined to give us this fresh series with attractive, appealing teaching pieces around a cohesive, well organized and presented program. I liked the fact that when presenting a new rhythmic or note pattern it is then incorporated into several different styles of pieces...

. In general the music is geared to appeal to students more familiar with popular than classical music yet it is engageing, pedagogically comprehensive and coherent and will provide the necessary requisites for introducing supplimental classically oriented repertoire if desired.
