  • September 21, 2008 Difficult, but Beautiful.

This prelude is one of Rachmaninoff's most popular, and it should be! It is amazingly beautiful. This edition is nice in that it has the opening measures written out for both pianos with and without a sostenuto pedal. Great edition!

  • June 09, 2008 This piece is still in the future for me, but...

My piano teacher and I are quite intrigued with this edition-- it includes an alternate score for the first 13 measures to be played by pianos without a sostenuto pedal. Also, some valuable performance notes, historical and biographical material appear on the back of the score booklet. Wonderful!
