CD Sheet Music(TM) is the revolutionary series of masterworks on CD- or DVD-ROM that transforms a PC or MAC computer into a virtual music library. Now you can quickly locate, view and print the great works of the classical repertoire. Compared to traditional printed sheet music or music downloads, it is incredibly inexpensive. Original sources are out-of-copyright standard editions from publishers such as Breitkopf and Härtel, C.F. Peters, G. Schirmer, Carl Fischer, G. Ricordi, Durand and many others. The discs also include biographical and analytical information from Grove's Dictionary of Music and Musicians, 1911 Edition.

This pack provides a treasury of famous sonatinas and teaching pieces for piano. Includes Diabelli, Clementi, Kuhlau, Lichner, and others as well as 178 of the most-taught pieces (or sets of pieces) by C.P.E. and J.S. Bach, Bartók, Beethoven (including “Für Elise”), Brahms, Chopin, Debussy (including “Clare de Lune”), Grieg, Handel, Haydn, Joplin, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Pachelbel, Prokofiev, Ravel, Satie, Schubert, Schumann, and others.

This is a good mix of pieces to give a student IF you are not fussy about the edition. If you are looking for complete accuracy, as with an urtext, this is not going to be your answer. In the Chopin Prelude, for example, appoggiaturas are written as grace notes...

. In the Mozart Rondo alla Turca, the appoggiaturas do not appear at all. For intermediate students, these issues may not be of concern. In those instances, this is a great way to get a lot of music for a very low cost.

  • February 11, 2009 A MUST-HAVE LIBRARY

The selections on this CD are a must-have for beginners and middle players. The span of composers introduces the player to the many styles. The CD format is wonderful and the print is comfortable reading. Only great enjoyment is likely from this edition and format.

  • April 22, 2008 Great beginning to piano library

The editions of the piano music in here are fabulous. Also, it's great to have the music at your fingertips to print out. We're a military family so having just a CD instead of lots of heavy books in a music library is great.

  • March 06, 2008 Wonderful selection!

I am very pleased with the variety of composers and repertoire in this cd rom. I would like to see a separate and more complete cd of standard study works as well.
