(Level IV) Original composition in the style of Pat Metheny's American Garage recording. Straight-eighth feel (a la Mark Egan & Danny Gottlieb). "Feel good" melody with a nod to Giant Steps in the changes. Strong ensemble figures contrasted by light, sustained textures. Simple but effective changes give piano and soprano soloists a chance to really build. Sectional counterpoint and energetic rhythmic writing leads to a strong focal point. Uplifting music.
