This is one item in the arranger's EASY PIANO collection and is intended to help beginner's develop their playing. One unique feature of this collection is that small notes in the score (see sample) may be omitted without too much loss of effect. So, once the student has become more confident in this stripped down performance of the score, they can then start to incorporate some or all of the small notes, thus serving the dual purpose of (1) filling out and giving a richer sound to thei playing and (2) in so doing add to the symphonic nature of the sound, as this arrangement was wrtten as though the piano could imitate a fuller ensemble.
This arrangement is particularly suited to young and maure players alike who want to improve in a cumulative way using the same song, to which the popular/cinema music genre lends itself well - colourful chords, free rubato style playing etc. Anybody who can read music and know the basic geography of the piano keyboard should be able to perform this; from the early stage (without the small notes) to a confident stage when they can play all the printed notes to the point where they can add harmony notes themselves in an improvisory way to fill out the sound. Chord symbols are given to facilitate this.
