  • December 29, 2012 Opera at the Piano

This book has a broad range of familiar operatic melodies. As a self-taught pianist I found it a little bit too challenging, having many pieces in keys with liberal doses of sharps and flats, but the positive side of this is that you are getting the music in authentic...

key signatures, so it will have the right sound. I have had a lot of fun crashing my way through Mozart's Queen of the Night Aria, though I doubt the family has shared my enjoyment!

I just love it.I find my favourite arias in this book and at last the arrangements are not too easy. But I would still wish a little bit more difficult level.

    fun.

  • August 31, 2007 My Favorite Opera for Piano Book

I have played piano at the mostly intermediate level for over 20 years. I love opera. I have been buying opera selection books for piano since I started. This is by far the best book in this area I have ever purchased. I liked it so much I bought a...

copy for my piano teacher who is not a big opera fan. If in doubt, buy it!
