This classic melody was composed by Adolphe Charles Adam, a prolific writer from Paris, France. After studying with his father and others at the Paris Conservatory, he went on to compose over 50 operas and 12 ballets. But his best known work was Cantique De Noel, also known as O Holy Night. Normally performed by a vocal soloist, Arthur Frackenpohl has expertly penned three separate grade 4 arrangements of this wonderful source music for Alto Saxophone trio, Horn in F trio, and Trombone trio.     Very nice arrangement - I liked it!! 2nd and 3rd parts complement the melody in 1st part very well, and they also have tiny little pieces of melody or bridges between parts, so it's not ALL accompaniment. I've tried this piece with two of my sax pupils who are...

    both in last year of junior high on a concert this week and got lots of praise :)
