Niels Ronsholdt (b. 1978) is a composer and sound artist. He studied composition with Karl Aage Rasmussen and Bent Sorensen at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. He writes installations, chamber music, and experimental operas. Ronsholdt's song cycle Me Quitte focuses on love, which is not always a liberating good- it is frequently the source of human degradation and misery. Faroese singer Anna Katrin Egilstrod and the Danish ensemble Scenatet bring this cycle to life in this world premiere recording.
