Arrangements in the Absolute Beginners series are scored for 4-part flexible ensemble with percussion. Easy violin, viola and cello parts are included, as well as parts for up to 36 string, wind, sax and brass instrumentalists of up to grade 2 standard. None of the arrangements in the series has a key signature of more than one sharp or one flat, and though this will mean that the alto sax parts, for instance, may have a key signature of four sharps, the part will be written so that difficult notes are avoided. A rehearsal piano part is included, which is not necessary for performance, but which can be used to "fill in" if sufficient instrumentalists are not available. Each pack contains:
