Composed by Paul Pisano. Contemporary Classical,Recital,Comedy. Score. 2 pages. Published by PWP Enterprises (S0.186541).

"The Man from Salt Lake City" pokes gentle fun at Utah culture through musical parody. The limerick relates the tale of a man's unsuccessful attempt to evade Mormon missionaries, while the quasi-marching-band accompaniment interweaves, in Ivesian fashion, three iconic Latter-day Saint hymns and a brief quotation from Vaughan Williams' Songs of Travel

Tessitura lies mostly between A4-F#5 for mezzo soprano, A3-F#4 for tenor. For performance in recital in the context of the complete Seven Limerick Songs cycle, as part of a smaller group excerpted therefrom, or alone as a recital closer or encore. Duration ca. :50. Text by the composer.
