Published by Tim Attride (A0.851297).Using 5 of the verses by John Milton in a brand new anthem setting, this will hopefully appeal to many choirs. Following a unison opening verse (with some alternation between 4/4 & 6/4 time signatures) is an SATB verse, one for TB, another for SA & finally another SATB*. Interest is maintained not only with this variation, but also with the evolving setting of the final two words in each refrain. With light & relatively easy accompaniment by either organ or piano, this would be appropriate for Harvest, Thanksgiving or any service focusing on Creation. (*With lower numbers, this anthem could be sung partly in unison / SABar etc. where necessary by mirroring the vocal lines where SATB is written as unaccompanied.).
