I started learning music well past my youth and I find this book easy to comprehend . It has helpful practice exercises. It is not very verbose which makes it easy to concentrate on the important material. My piano teacher chose the book for me. I love it !

  • June 18, 2011 a well-written book

My son's piano teacher assigned this book for my 7-year-old son, and I helped him with his assignment every day. It took about a year to finish it. It is even clear enough for the beginner.

  • June 02, 2008 Good Intro

I was a music major in college so I know a thing or two about theory. Our piano teacher assigned this book for our 10 year old. We took over a year to work carefully through it and I am very pleased. It is straight forward, good drill, covers all...

the basics, but subject matter that is above an intro level. I especially liked the simple, early exposure to basic analyisis. Look forward to the next book.
