Composed by Jerome Savari. Arranged by Paul Wehage. Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 42 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #22863. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.532795).

Jéröme Savari was born in Paris in 1819. He was the Director of the Military Band of the 34ème de Ligne. A friend of Adolphe Sax, his works for the saxophone are among the first for this instrument. In addition to three fantasies for alto saxophone and piano, Savari wrote a series of ensembles which go from duo to octet. His works were published by Sax between 1861 and 1862. He died in 1870. This Septet is in one extended movement in three sections: The opening Moderato uses imiataion on a theme first heard in the lower saxophones. The middle section is in the form of a Pastoral in 6/8. The final Allegro uses romantic chromatic harmonies and imitation to bring the work to a close.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
