If you want to learn rhythm, this is it. It is a little advance, but with a lot of practice you will get it

Excellent transcriptions of James Booker's unique style of playing the piano. Each of the different styles is explained in the introduction. Simpler tunes like "Pop's Dilemma" contrast with difficult pieces like "Papa Was A Rascal" and "Pixie". The music is all fun to play.

Great transcriptions from one of the best New Orleans pianists. A good seectiom if tunes written out in a way that clearly caputes Booker's piano playing. The notes on Bookers playing and a breakdown of his left hand patterns at the begining of the book are very valuable. If...

Josh Paxton has done a fantastic job capturing the music of James Carroll Booker. There's also a great background on Booker. If you are into New Orleans style piano you should definitely check this one out.
