  • May 10, 2015 Intermezzo Op. 118, No. 2

This is one of the beautiful intermezzos by Brahms. It isn't complicated theory-wise, but it requires a lot of emotion when performing. This edition also has no fingering, which is good for more advanced students. However, when you open it, a warning is that the page numbers are...

out of order so you could have it open on every page when performing. After page 1, the 2nd page is at the back of the solo and the 3rd/4th page are there so you could unfold them when performing. I highly recommend this edition. It's not hard, but certainly not easy either.

The pages of the sheet music are printed out of order; a customer service representative said that all copies of this particular piece were printed that way. In over 60 years of playing the piano, I have never encountered this before.

  • January 23, 2009 Very nice..

I first heard this piece while viewing a piano retail outlet on the internet. I e-mailed the store and they told me the name of the piece. I immediately ordered it and have been working through it now for about three days. I has about four measures on the...

second page that are giving me some difficulty, but I expect to work it out. I love the piece. It is one of the most susstained emotional pieces of music I have heard. I am glad I opted to make the purchase. It has a rating of advanced (10) but I would not share that view. I would likely place it in an easier range. Certainly a couple of increments lower.

Great piece. Especially for people who don't like classical music. Lots of "dolce" and great little moments for an advanced player to work with.

This piece is beautiful. Its harder than I thought but not too difficult. If you learn it make sure you get all the melodies right to bring out the crescendos and everything. GREAT PIECE!!!!!!
