Composed by Martin Luther, Welsh Hymn Tune, and and Conrad Kocher. Arranged by G. R. Adkison. Christian,Sacred. Score. 4 pages. Gary Ray Adkison #13471. Published by Gary Ray Adkison (A0.953717).

"Immortal Fortress, Lord of Beauty" is a 55 measure, 4-5 octave handbell choir arrangement medley of the Christian hymns: "Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise", "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God", and "For the Beauty of the Earth". Including the brief introduction and the slightly elongated ending, it takes 2 minutes and 7 seconds to perform at the suggested tempo markings. Praising God is the obvious underlying and unifying theme. There is a doubled descant line in the first half of "For the Beauty of the Earth"---then, during the last line---shakes and tolls (swings). Melody doubling is used in the second hymn. The difficulty level is about 3 or 3+ primarily due to the eighth-note bass runs in the first two hymns.
