This easy piano arrangement of an old folk song should be fine for beginners who have already begun to read staff notation. Middle-C-method students will quickly catch on; the right hand will be playing C with finger 2 instead of the thumb, and the left thumb is on A. An exciting feature is that the left hand crosses over the right hand at two points in the piece--a trick often reserved for recital pieces! Parents will be impressed!
The arrangement also includes instructions for performing the piece as a round, and introduces the terms interlude and coda to the student.
