Die Hanover Hymn stammt vom Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts, die heutige Form und ihren Namen bekam sie allerdings erst spater. Das Arrangement von Jan de Haan beginnt mit einem luftigen, verspielten Thema, an welches sich die Liedmelodie, zunachst in den Posaunen gespielt, anschliesst. Dann wird das Lied vierstimmig wiederholt, bevor das hohe Blech mit einer vom gesamten Orchester begleiteten Wiederholung das Werk majestatisch beendet.
