Published by Rick Robertson (S0.22927).This piece reflects another of my passions, the collecting of 78 rpm phonograph records. Although my collecting interest lies mainly in pianists of the early twentieth century, I also enjoy the old "dance band" records by such groups as the Paul Whiteman Orchestra (who first performed and recorded “Rhapsody in Blue” with George Gershwin!) and The Great White Way Orchestra. This piece is written in the style of these dance bands, in a “fox trot” syncopated style. It is dedicated to Dr. Adam Dubin, a record-collector friend in Chicago, who is also a gifted amateur pianist.
