All strains add a countermelody on the repeat. The recording is of the Mesquite Community Band directed by Dale Coates. ATSSB (Association of Texas Small School Bands) holds a composition contest. The judges normally just announce first place, but this march was given an "honorable mention" for this year’s contest, the only composition awarded this honor. I hope you will play this march, a tribute to one of the best band directors/teachers/musicians/orchestra directors ever (IMHO).
