Piano Accompaniment,Choir,SAB - Intermediate - Digital Download

SKU: S0.239285

Composed by Susan J. Galentine. Contemporary Classical,Christian,Sacred,Praise & Worship,Easter. Score. 8 pages. Published by Susan Galentine (S0.239285).

Entered as "2017 Choral Contest Entry"
This is an original sacred composition for SAB Mixed choir, although it's labeled as SAT as the male part is a tenor range. Since the text comes from both the Bible, and 15th Century secular poetry, it is recommended for church, in particular Easter, but may be appropriate in a secular setting as well. There are no extremes in the vocal ranges, making it easy to sing, particularly for inexperienced choirs. It is 60 measures, approximately 2 1/2 minutes, in A-Major with some interesting M7 chords incorporated. The uniqueness (and challenge) for this piece is - the vocals are in 3/4 meter while the piano accompaniment is mainly 6/8 meter making the underlying pulse between the two uneven. Keep in mind, the audio quality is poor as it is rendered from "Finale Songwriter" which is limited. Many of the artistic, dynamic, and tempo markings were not recognized or implemented by the software, nor can you get the full effect without real human voices. .
