  • January 21, 2008 This song inspires memories...

This piece is absolutely amazing and suits bands with a stronger wind section. The rythms and melodies are especially powerful when played with conviction. You can't make it through the song without feeling the emotion of it. I played this selection years ago for the most amazing band director...

who ever lived, and thankfully I get another opportunity to hear this piece since we are playing it in memory of him. This song reminds me of the Irish Highlands. The saxophone solo echoed by the clarinets is especially haunting and beautiful, but the entire piece is amazing. Play it if you ever get a chance, or you'll really be missing out. This is a wonderful song that my entire band loves and empathizes with. Go Exaltation!

I'm in 7th and have been playing Alto Saxophone for 3 years and this is my absolute favorite piece I have ever played. James Swearingen is one of my favorite arrangers. I think this piece requiress a great director to make it sound great. We are taking this to...

a festival soon and I'm very confident in this peice.

  • April 12, 2007 awesome song!

I am in 8th grade and we are playing this song for a festival. I've been playing clarinet for six months, and this was a big challenge for me, but I LOVE every single part of it! If you haven't heard it you shouldn't think about it...

    twice!
