Eighteen is a flat-out, rock n' roll chart based on a tune from one of Pat Metheny's earlier albums, "Offramp." This chart has a hypnotic, powerful, energetic bass line. It is a soprano saxophone feature throughout. There is wonderful energy in this chart which continuously builds until the end. Clarinet doubles are in the woodwind parts. 5-4-4-4.
