Published by Emily Sue Wood (S0.128423).A three-movement piece for oboe, bassoon, horn, violin, 2 violas, cello, and percussion (vibraphone, tambourine, maracas, and bass drum). This piece makes for excellent chamber music with interesting instrumentation. The first movement, "Away", is gentle and soothing, in A Major. The second movement, "Lost", has a sense of urgency in 5/8, using the F sharp Hirajoshi and octatonic scales. Finally, the last movement, "Home", begins with some solos in c sharp minor, then develops into a moderate-tempo dance in A Major, using color chords and parallelism. Score and parts included.
