Well I bought this book thinking I would be getting the real piano parts. Especially for Life On Mars. Wow that was a huge mistake. I listened to the song while following along in the book, and it's absolutly dissapointing. All it is is some notes with chords. No...

trills. Nothing in there that is in the real song. It's a disgrace to David Bowie.

I had this book open to "Cat People" while listening to the David Bowie CD, and a big mistake was made with the lyrics: an entire verse has been left out. When I compared "Heroes" to the CD, this book has the song starting with the wrong lyrics! The only...

reason this came up is because I am using this book to practice singing. I am going to keep this book because I can still get value from it. However, if you are a Bowie fan and want completely accurate transcriptions of the songs, this book may frustrate you. The melodies themselves seem accurate, so if you aren't too concerned about comparisons to the original lyrics, you will still get enjoyment from this book.

this was a VERY good buy for a fan of bowie, especially classic Ziggy Stardust era Bowie. all his major songs, and a few lesser-known ones, are very well represented and arranged. Play, sing along if you can, and have a great time with this one!
