A wonderfully vibrant melody characterizes this anthem for either the contemporary ensemble or formal choir. Three stanzas begin in unison and split into SAB voices just as the harmonic progression takes an interesting turn. Add the optional trumpet (part in the score) and/or flute and string quartet, and you’ve got a worthy Easter Sunday choir piece that is accessible even for the choir of modest resources. Trumpet and string quartet parts are optional.
