I play guitar for many years (choro, bossa nova) and I discovered Chord melody recently. I made a mistake buying this title, it's not what I was looking for. I think it's more for players who want to study the style of some well known jazz guitarists. I...

bought in the same time "Chord solos" from Joe Pass wich I find much more interesting. "Jazz Guitar Standards" is also a title I have preferred.

This is an excellent compilation of transcriptions from a wide variety of jazz guitar legends. I was especially interested in Barney Kessel's version of Misty which I have now added to my repetoire. Highly recommended.
