Delightful chamber music from our Civil War Brass Quintet Series contains transcriptions made from original scores of the Civil War era obtained from various sources. They have been scored for modern brass quintet and, in some cases, transposed into playable keys. The harmonies have not been altered in order to retain the musical flavor of the period.
Jari Villanueva has been writing arrangements for decades. A student of Bill Holcombe, he continues writing for different ensembles. Many of his arrangements can be found on Sheet Music Plus. He is a winner of the 2016 Arranging Contest and Holiday Contest.
