Item Number: AP.PA02482
ISBN 0757990878. Romantic Period. 9x12 inches.

A piano solo edition of the large scale Chopin Grande Polonaise Brillante, preceded by the lovely Andante Spianato. The massive Polonaise is one of Chopin's show pieces, and it is not available in any collection of Chopin Polonaises. The Andante Spianato makes a wonderful solo in itself.

beautiful piece... the only thing missing is the fingering. that would have been helpful.

well, this is a pretty LONG song, and its very expressive too. When I bought the sheet music, I did have a couple of complaints though. For one: The orchestra interludes in the song have slightly smaller notes than the piano solo parts. Not a big deal, just a little...

bit of annoyance. Also, there are no fingerings written in! I could have really used those! But besides that, I was pretty impressed with this song. I only got 13 pages more to learn !

This is one of THE HARDEST songs you will probably ever try to learn !! It took me 3 Months to learn the entire song!! but it was DEFINENTLY worth it. As for the piece itself, heres my review: 1. The rhythm isnt that tricky, but depending on your piano level...

, you may have a little bit of trouble with it. 2. The notation is probably the 2nd hardest part of the piece, because there is a lot of octaves is this song, so the whole "8va" thing might make you a little impatient. 3. The speed is THE HARDEST part, because the speed ranges from slow and soft to fast and hard. But all you need is a LOT of practive time, and you'll have the song nailed! But, the Polonaise is a beautiful piece, and quite frankly, I couldnt give a crap about the ANDANTE SPINYAYA or whatever its called. Well, Have fun !!

This is an awesome piece, but one of the hardest of the polonaises- and they are all challenging! This would be great if you are really looking to add some substantial piece to your repertoire.
