It includes: "Of The Father's Love", based on a 10th century medieval plainsong; "Angelus Ad Virginem", a medieval French carol brought to Britain by the Frech friars in the 13th century; "Gabriel's Message", a centuries old folk carol from the Basque region of Spain; "I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In", a 17th century British folk carol. Charlie Hill's skillful orchestration and creativity captures the delicate nuances of this music which has stood the test of time and remains today a part of our worldwide Christmas music tradition.
