The mystery of God becoming man is exemplified by such grand moments as Jesus' birth in a lowly manger, and the angels' appearance to the shepherds announcing the arrival of the Messiah. This anthem celebrates the act of Divine Love reminding us that we are part of the story and that we are loved. A soaring chorus brings deep emotion to the lyric and the gentle reference to Bach's “Sheep May Safely Graze” is a graceful touch.
