In scoring the BACH DOUBLE VIOLIN CONCERTO IN D MINOR, special attention has been given to provide an orchestral accompaniment that properly supports both the rhythmic content and harmonic structure. The first violin and second violin soli ports are scored for the first and second violin sections of the orchestra and may be properly accompanied by either the full orchestra instrumentation or strings only. It is suggested that as a feature performance or to create a highlight for your program, the firstand second violin sections stand when performing.
