It can be performed on 7 buckets, 1 metal and 6 plastic, (or drums) and is perfect for a percussion ensemble concert or as a percussion feature during any school concert. Two players also play a train whistle and a train bell, or similar sounding bell. The ride pulls our slowly from the station in 4/4, accelerates to a comfortable pace. As the train climbs a big hill, it slows and as it starts down the other side, it chugs along in a nice 12/8 feel. A gradual slow down happens as the train enters the station.
