Published by Matthew Lax (A0.818011).The Elephant from Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals. A feature for bass clarinet accompanied by the rest of the wind quintet. Transposed to make it most suitable for the bass clarinet this arrangement tests the range of the bass both right down to low C# and into upper registers in the middle to give a striking contrast in tone. There are a couple of places where some bars may need to be taken up the octave if your bass clarinet doesn't go down to low C# but don't let this stop you - it will still sound great.
The accompanying parts are straight forward and would suit an intermediate ensemble.
