Published by JRB Music Publishing (A0.803108).The object of this arrangement was to "weave" the Gounod’s melody into the "fabric" of Bach’s Prelude without losing any notes or intentions of either. The lead melody has been additionally colored with 6ths and 3rds throughout. The pianistic challenges are (1) in the beginning, to project Gounod’s melody "in front of" the Bach Prelude; (2) in the latter part, to play the original Bach with the left-hand only.
