This lovely work is a setting of the popular text "Day by Day" by St. Richard of Chichester. The organ accompaniment provides a meditative foundation as well as a rhythmic impetus for the singers and the melody is of a simple beauty. The second half of the piece moves up a minor third and concludes with the voices in two imitative parts. Children and women will find this a delight to sing. This piece can be used as an introit choral prayer or in any penitential season.
