Detailed Description

The Guitar Chord Deck for Guitar. Music Sales America. Select the chord shape you want, see exactly how to play it and display any sequence of chords without page flipping. Teaching Aid. Guitar chord deck. 45 pages. Amsco Publications #AM949872. Published by Amsco Publications (HL.14033266).

ISBN 0825617545. Teaching Aid. 3.5x11 inches.

The ideal gift for the beginning guitarist. Select the chord shape you want, see exactly how to play it and display any sequence of chords without page flipping! Includes standard music notation, regular chord diagrams, ways of using the chord in progressions and scales and arpeggios.

Each deck comes in a plastic box. The decks are shaped like a guitar neck, and fan out like a deck of cards. On the front of each card is a replica of the guitar neck, with the chord shown using finger numbers. You can actually put your fingers ON the book and practice your chords! On the back of each card is additional information, including a chord diagram, the chord shown in TAB, related scales, etc. You can also fan out the chord deck in order to work on several different chords at the same time, a feature that chord books cannot match, of course! The Chord Deck covers about 50 chords including all of the most frequently used chords for beginners.

Also available separately: The Scale Deck is a similar concept, showing scales on a replica of the guitar neck, with additional information on the flip side. The Acoustic & Rock Decks are very similar, the major difference being the product design. (Some beginning electric guitarists were hesitant to pick up the acoustic guitar versions!).
