In 1961 Frank Sinatra joined forces with arranger Sy Oliver to record a tribute to their former boss, bandleader Tommy Dorsey. This album consisted of 13 tracks closely associated with Dorsey including this arrangement of Without a Song. Sinatra had recorded this song with Dorsey in 1941. This chart provides great accompaniment for Sinatra and features a brilliant shout section, very much in the Sy Oliver style. Included is an optional synthesizer part so that this arrangement may be played without strings. The original arrangement featured 3 horns in F (playing in unison). An optional 5th trumpet part has been included in the event that horns aren't available. And lastly, the harp part is optional - the two bar harp solo is cued in the guitar part. This publication is based on the original set of parts - this is not a transcription.
