SKU: JL.LL-2289S
Recorded by Julie London. Edited by Myles Collins. Jazz Vocal. Range: Trumpets 1-4: C6, A5, G5, Eb5; Trombones 1-4: F4, Db4, Db4, Gb4; Vocal Key: Bbm; Vocal Range: F3 - Db5 (13 steps as sung). Swing. Full score. Published by Lush Life (JL.LL-2289S).Whilst this song is usually associated with Peggy Lee and the Benny Goodman band, this Julie London version is a refreshing alternative. It suits a singer who has a sultry, laid-back vocal approach. The band backings are scored to give good support to the vocalist and the band itself takes an eight measure ensemble passage in between the vocal choruses. The brass ranges are moderate and there are no sax doubles. The vocal key is Bbm throughout.
