Recorded by Nancy Wilson. Edited by Rob DuBoff and Jeffrey Sultanof. Arranged by Billy May. Jazz Vocal. Swing. Full score and set of parts. Published by Jazz Lines Publications (JL.JLP-9336).

Recorded by Nancy Wilson for Capitol Records in 1960, this exciting brass arrangement by Billy May provides serious punch behind the vocalist! The first chorus of the arrangement is in Ab then it modulates to A and then Bb where it finishes. The saxophonists will have to sit this one out as the chart was written for 4 trumpets and 4 trombones with rhythm section. There were numerous trombone parts that were cut for the recording. All of these cut bars were backgrounds to the vocals. For this publication we have included the previously cut music. It is possible that these sections (in the first chorus of the chart) were cut by Nancy as she wanted the arrangement to start out with a small group feel. But, recognizing the importance of these trombone parts to the overall performace, we have included them. The difficulty of this arrangement mostly lies in the tempo that it is performed at. This would make a great concert piece! The sound sample is a midi file of the arrangement so that the complete arrangement (including the previously cut parts) may be heard. Ranges: Trumpet 1: to E6; Trombone 1: to Bb4.
