Vocalise is such a beautiful piece that it has been arranged for every instrument and vocal combination out there. This piece was originally written for voice and piano, without any words, but sung with just a vowel sound - most times, "ah". Because there are no lyrics, Rachmaninoff left it up to the musicians and listeners to interpret it as they wished.
This arrangement is scored for clarinet quartet. There is an optional Eb part that can be played in lieu of the 1st Bb part.
