Published by Adrienne Albert (A0.876750)."Visions of Grace", a quintet for Low Flutes for 2 alto flutes, 2 bass flutes, and contrabass flute was commissioned by low flutes expert, Peter Sheridan, who asked me to compose a piece based on "Amazing Grace", I originally thought "piece of cake!". Then I blanched and thought, "What can I possibly do to make this iconic piece different in some ways and still retain its natural beauty". I began to envision the work as part of an American patchwork quilt filled with iconic folk tunes interwoven among the beautiful lines of the original song. "Visions of Grace" ©2015 was premiered at the National Flute Association convention in Washington, DC in 2015. The piece is about 6:30 minutes long and is published by my publishing company, Kenter Canyon Music (ASCAP).
