Veritas-Latin for "truth," this bold work for contest has strong scoring throughout as it maintains a fast tempo and minor key tonality. With plenty of dialog between sections, full percussion, and periodic bluesy countermelodies, this selection has much to offer musically. A stately 3/4 middle section nicely contrasts the rest of the piece, yet still retains the evocative spirit of the work.
