This setting is motivated by the concept of gebrauchmusik, music that is accessible, serious and challenging at the same time. Written in three parts, it develops the ascending scale motive throughout, slipping into a wandering canon. The use of a C instrument Flute, Oboe or Violin is most desirable but when necessary the line can be integrated into the keyboard part. C Melody Instrument part included with the score. Duration 3:30.
